The Festival of Korean Fried Chicken Lights Up Park Street

The laneway between 469 and 485 La Trobe Street was transformed as Brights & Park hosted The Festival of Korean Fried Chicken, delivered in partnership with our tenant customer Food + Drink Victoria as part of the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival 2026.

What followed was a vibrant, high‑energy celebration that brought together tenant customers, local workers, and visitors from across the city. Over the afternoon, 1,000 free servings of Korean fried chicken were shared, prompting an overwhelming response and creating a lively atmosphere that saw the laneway buzzing from the moment the first plates were served.

The activation showcased the best of Melbourne’s Koreatown, located just moments from the precinct. K Pop performances added to the atmosphere, turning the laneway into a vibrant cultural moment. Music, colour and movement filled the space, creating a sense of celebration that extended well beyond the lunchtime crowd.

This event was made possible through our ongoing partnership with Food + Drink Victoria, whose support continues to help us deliver meaningful, community focused activations for the precinct. The festival not only highlighted the culinary talent of Koreatown but also reinforced the value of collaboration between Brights & Park and our tenant customers.
